Wedding Date!
We officially now have a wedding date. Mark did the amazing, most awesome, stupendous work to get April 10th at Lake Lodge in Alfred. I'm very very very pleased. Now we can start doing the real meat of the planning.
We decided that one choice we might exercise is that instead of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we'll order a bunch of pizzas and have family & close friends decorate Friday night. With maybe other activities if other guests come to town early. But neither of us are really in favor of the traditional rehearsal dinner. Too stuffy and a somewhat needless expense.
Now I need to call the local hotels and see if they'll offer any special rates. I also need to investigate a shuttle service between Alfred & Hornell. It's a ways to drive after drinking. And start designing "save the date" postcards since a large number of guests are out of town. And a lot of other things. I need to make a real list. Now if only I wasn't working so much and had time to do this stuff!
