A Month's worth of catching up...
It's been a while. So catching up...
New Year's was fun. We watched a bunch of Buffy & rang in the New Year with a bang and sparklers. Fun fun.
Mark and I went to DC for the inauguration. What an incredible experience! We went to the National Museum of Crime & Punishment, the Newseum, a bunch of the memorials/monuments, Smithsonian Museum of Natural History (yay 3D Imax show) and Arlington. We stood on the Mall near the Smithsonian Castle for about 5 hours for the inauguration itself. That was a really neat moment. We also got pictures of the anti-snipers on the roofs. I'm so glad I was there. A link to pictures and such will eventually be forthcoming.
The Superbowl was mildly amusing. The commercials weren't so great, though I really like the Doritos one with the snowglobe/crystal ball. Completely unexpected. I was so glad Bruce Springsteen did halftime. I really need to see him live sometime. I laughed a lot when he crotched the camera. And there was no outcry about a camera/crotch/dance malfunction?? Oh my... Mark decided to stop watching just before the 4th quarter and Arizona pulled ahead. Then he came back for the final two minutes and they lost. Coincidence? I think not!
I've been pretty exhausted lately. Not that I've been doing much. I hope I'm not getting sick. But being this tired and occasionally feeling like my limbs weigh an extra ton isn't a good sign. Otherwise work is going well.
