Saturday 26th February
I wanted to post yesterday , but guess I didn't get around to it. I was kind of busy last night working on my Textiles project....and now it's almost the end of the half term holiday , and I've not even started on my Photography project. Oh well , if I'm going to fail one project , then I guess it can be that one. I love my textiles , I've worked really hard on it....and for some reason , I like to make my life much harder by creating complex patterns and doing everything the hard way....as usual.
I like a challenge though, and to be doing something I can already do in college I guess is a little boring and repetitive.
Yesterday Chris came over because he was going out with his mates today for his birthday , so we celebrated his birthday yesterday instead. I gave him two warm and fluffy jackets because he can get cold sometimes , but he's so thin these days , and since he had his operation , is now even thinner. He's not been able to eat hardly anything for the past couple of months. It's really scary :(
We went down the town yesterday and had to go to the bank to sort out a few things with his bank and we also went to JD sports to find him a new jacket and a few other things. I was browsing around the shop and found a pair of reduced nike trainers on the sale stand....they were nike+ enabled and were actually really affordable. My problem was I had to top up Chris' shopping and only had so much money in my bank. He had a look around and found the things he wanted and I had to pay the extra...which unfortunately took most of the money in my bank , and I had to leave without the trainers....which I should say , I wasn't browsing for myself , but a nice pair for mum - as a gift.
So , we walked back up to the house , and hoped that mum was going to meet us there , since I had forgotten my keys because I couldn't find my phone (House keys are attached to the phone).
luckily , she was. But she was waiting at the door to take Chris home.
So , I didn't really get to spend that much time with him. :(
At least we got to do some shopping and get the things he needed. :)
So , I went in the house and took off my jacket and then had an idea. I remembered I had a tiny amount of savings , so I grabbed my money and decided to run all the way back down to the town and hope that those trainers were still there!!!
Luckily for me , they were! For them to be nike+ enabled was one thing , but for them to also be the right size , well that was just perfect! So I bought the trainers quickly before the shop closed (it was getting close to 5:30pm...) and then walked up the back way up through the town and went into sainsbury's on the way back to get something for dinner.
I had to wait until later on in the evening to give her the present though as she was still out when I got in.
She was so happy to receive them , and I'm glad that she loved them , and even more so that they actually fit :D So today , she's been out walking around with her new nike trainers on and the nike+ sensor inside counting the miles and help motivate her for exercise :)
Today , I have been painting my room some more. Got my art order this morning , and it's been over a week o_O The only problem is , the main things I wanted were out of stock and will be sent out separately once they get them in stock.
I attempted a short run tonight. It was under 20 mins , but I can't push myself like I used to as my leg still hasn't properly healed and won't do if I exercise too hard :(
I missed running. The being out at night on my own with just my music and the road ahead. The cool air , and the free time to just think about whatever and free my mind for a while.
Oh! Also, something else I have to write about today.....I checked my account on deviant art and noticed I had a few messages more than what I usually get...and when I checked, I had a daily deviation!!!! I am so happy!!!
