Quite OT, but reading through your post made me remember something I thought I saw a while back; Ace is alive, right? God, he has to be.

Yes, he is. In a recent chapter they said the Blackbeard had captured him (this is what led to him being made the newest member of the Shichibukai) and he'd been sent to Impel Down--hence, prison riots.

Seriously, though, everytime I think of Impel Down, I'm reminded of maldoror_gw's awesome ficlet where CP9 was imprisoned there and totally kicked ass to become the rulers.
