In less ranty entries... who am I kidding? It just wouldn't be me if I didn't rant! Murale, which is sort of like Sephora but is the off-shoot from a Canadian pharmacy (so much more), was having an event starting yesterday. Essentially you can collect points from both Murale and Shoppers Drug Mart and use it up for items at both stores. During their events, you can claim more than the points would normally be worth.
I decided to be good - you know? I'm trying to save money what with Chicago next weekend and the Calgary Stampede in July, so I was going to stock up on items I needed using my points. I even made a list of items I needed.
Did I do it? NO.
I was running out of my Chanel foundation, which was a part of my list, but I forgot what shade I was. So the Chanel make-up artist kindly helped me out, and helped me buy try most of their Spring/Summer line... which I now own. Luckily, for all that I bought (which was about $400), I only ended up having to pay the taxes for but UGH, stupid me. I can't resist the pretty.
Anyway, I tried out the Chanel serum last night. It felt pretty good but it smells pretty strong. I hate scents in creams, facial creams especially since my nose is so sensitive. I'm going to give it another try to see how it goes, but if I can't stand it, that might go back to the store. Then I'll actually be able to buy some of the items on my list!
