What I get for reading White Collar fanfic (and watching this season).
Neal was having a hard enough time getting along with Rory before Amy came down on him for stealing the Doctor’s screwdriver.
“I don’t like you,” she declared. “You’re a thief. I don’t trust thieves.”
“Oh, I don’t know, Amy,” the Doctor intervened, “It depends on why. And what. Now, if it were the Mona Lisa, I don’t think I’d ever steal that, and I’m disappointed in you if you would, but some things…” He uncrossed his arms, ridiculous in his fez as he leaned a hand against the rail of the TARDIS. “Some things you just need to steal.”
