And the winner of the wettest employee is...

So, yeah. Work was remotely interesting today. I had a nine-one shift, so I was expecting it to be wicked busy (people start coming in as soon as we open on Sunday's normally). Well, I was half right.

First of all, I came in late for work by like, ten minutes. Not a big deal, but it was kinda funny cause as soon as I walked in the door, I noticed Nicole (one of the front end) dialing a number on the phone. Then I walked past her and she grinned, hanging up the phone. Conversation went as such.

Nicole: I was just about to call your cell phone!
Me: Sorry, Nicole! I forgot I needed gas or else I'd be even later to work.
Nicole: Well, you walked in before I got the chance to dial the last number, so it's okay.

Then instead of having me get a drawer for the register, she had me help Sidney and Melanie (other front ends) wipe off the carriages since they were SOAKING FREAKING WET. Seriously, it was pouring. I did that for over an hour xD and by myself for over half the time. Oh, well. It was amusing.

So, after that Sidney figured I needed to get a drawer. Why, I have no idea. It wasn't even close to busy at the time. But nonetheless, it was funny. I got my drawer and went to the front. They looked at my like I was an idiot. My response? "Don't look at me, Sid told me to get one!" Yvonne was just like "Uh, okay. Go on two, I guess." So I sat at register two. For ten minutes. STARING! I had no customers AT ALL! It was great. So then Yvonne comes over and her and I just look at one another like "What the hell?". She tells me to shut down and then I was told I could go either double bag or do overstock. So I decided to do overstock. Now, normally there are a shit load of things for overstock, even when it's only like, 10:15 in the morning (only cause it's a Sunday). But, nope. That wasn't the case today.

SIX. ITEMS.

Yeah, that was fun. Did that for ten minutes, not even, before going back to the front and assigning myself to double bag for Kelli cause her and I get along. Entertaining conversations we had!

So after a while, they decide to have me ring. Okay, whatever. Don't really care. I'm doing that for a while when I feel someone behind me and I'm just like "Waaah...?" It was Matt, Kelli's boyfriend. Now, mind you, I have been friends with him since I started working there before him and Kelli were dating. He's like an older brother to me (A year or two older). It was funny, though, because I hadn't seen him for a few weeks so I sort of thought that maybe he was fired (which woulda made me emo) but instead he was wearing a green jacket. Meaning he went to produce. Meaning HE LEFT ME ALONE IN THE FRONT END!!! Zomg... So yeah, I was just staring at him stupidly for a moment before going "Oh, my god it's you!!" and then he hugged me, grinning like the idiot he is. Yeah, we do that xD. But I felt so loved cause other than his girlfriend and another bagger, he didn't talk to anyone else :) (Again, this is nothing but sibling like, so it makes me happy). But yeah, I was just glomping him back and I was all like "YOU LEFT ME!!!". Heh. Now who am I going to crack jokes with during the day! Seriously, the two of us would do something like "You're an idiot" "Yeah, well that's what you think" "Wait, I didn't know you think!" And sort of stuff like that. Arghhh, emo girl now~

Other than that and Katie scaring the shit out of me at one point, that was basically my work day. I came home, took a long shower, then went to my room where I was going to get ready to go out, but fell asleep instead xD.

Oh! And I had a bit of a shopping spree with my mom yesterday! It was fun~. We went to Kohls. Also, I'm finally getting out of my phase of printed tees and getting more feminine/less childish clothing. Yay me! On another side note, I look awesome in horizontal thin stripes (despite the fact that I was told in Fashion class in HS that people look bigger wearing horizontal lines. Beat that, bitches!)
