NaNoWriMo

So. NanoWriMo is less then four months away. I'm actually planning on participating (nevermind that my finals would be very near to the time that I'd be pushing for that elusive 50000th word). I'm thinking of working on an outline and other things to help ease the stress so that way I know my characters, my scenes and all it should come down to is a push for words.

I'm not sure if I want to use my current novel idea which is slowing down just a bit as it starts to lose it's luster, or if I should come up with something fresh and push on the current piece while it still at least looks feasible.

The current piece is about a group of characters of varying DnD-esque alignments who use a travel agency of sorts to create worlds in interdimensional pockets. I know how I'd like the novel to end, but it seems and feels awfully "over the top" even for me. I'd rather not discuss it because it's so out there and it's also still pending. Every time I tell someone though, I can't help but feel stupid.

I think I'm going to go pound out a short poem or story or something so that way I don't feel like I can't write but only generate good ideas. Also, Austin, do you mind emailing me whatever copies of Awesome Austin stuff you have typed up. I never really like to read via blogs and prefer staring at huge sheets of white space on a word processor.
