Visiting Michigan
So, as many of you should know, I am currently on a two week vacation of sorts visiting Michigan. And thus far the trip has been awesome. Many of you should also know that the reason for this visit was to spend time with Chaz and meet him and see if a long distance thinger was something we definitely wanted to work on.
For my part, I have decided I am willing to wait patiently until circumstances allow us to move in together. He is a cute, charming, smart and all the other inane things that people always value in a sig other. We do... have our differences on certain matters. We actually had a long talk on how we act around our friends.
See, he has this friend Jamie. And they, as friends, think nothing of flirting or sitting close to each other. I on the other hand, find that tasteless behavior. I mean, I AM his girlfriend who visited from out of town and to see him acting with a different girl how he should be acting with me made me really jealous. But we actually took a long hot bath and talked about it. And it was agreed that he would at least try to amend the behavior (for the record, he was not being affectionate back) and I said I would try to be more understanding. Part of it really just has to do with the ways we were raised and I hate to bring this up, but I think at least part of it is economic differences that make things more "socially acceptable." Personally, with the exception of my absolutely closest bestest friends ever, we just don't flirt/show an abundant amount of affection right in front of someone's sig other.
And for the record, giving Austin or Kats a bit of assgrab or a hug is different because they are like... celebrity status to me. Regardless, this thing that could have turned into a problem has been dealt with. And that was an important part of why I visited for so long. To address problems that might come up (which they can't show up after a two day visit) and see if we could resolve them.
I have a mostrous cold that hit me when I was in the airport (for the record, MIA is the coldest place ever. It was literally like 55 degrees in there!!!!!!) and so we have been house bound instead of going on long cold walks. Anywho, hopefully I feel better soon and we can wander around.
