An Englishman gave me a piece of advice that I must not be shy all the time. Aside from the fact it gives me a conflicting image that I am aloof to most people. It could open up opportunities. It did just a while ago.
I just had a talk with an old batch mate of mine back in college, talked about on how she's doing, my subtle but obvious straying away from bad habits which I am notorious for as a student, news on other people & how she worked with my fave local director for a tvc.
My friend saw this on my site, it reminded her of the director.
Found out later he was my fave during our conversation. In a nutshell, I'm flattered.
She was surprised he's my favorite since college & why I had an inclination for after effects which I did not pursue in the long run but ever since I have been vying for a career related in print & illustration. Yes, due to contrary belief animation is not part of the big picture.
As we thought about the past & if we are still on track, actually... we are.
I did end up learning the applications that I really wanted to learn as a college student.
Learned a lot & I am enjoying working on these applications.
I got in the organization that I have been interested in joining since college.
Doors are opening. I hope I can grab every opportunity yet I will keep in mind not to feel dismayed with some set backs.
That's a part of this journey.
A little more I might just reach it.
Just one step at a time.
Like they say, you can't get it all at once.
Thanks for helping me recall those possibilities are still at reach right here in front of my monitor. Lol.
Also, thanks on introducing to me Shel Silverstein, I will be looking him up in the long run.
Maybe I really did need that long vacation to remember the way.
Now back to work. You already found your references online for your painting.
