Its Official!
We will be moving to the Big Apple!
Were sending in our offers signed stating we have excepted the offers today. Of course there are so many details to find out, its ridiculous.
Im not going to lie, its really scary to think about what will happen in the next 3 months. Thers SO SO SO much to do. But, i know deep down, its the right thing to do for us and each of us individually.
We will be working out a start date with the guy but it looks like it will be Feb. 16th as of right now. AAAAH so much crap to do before then.
Here is a list of everything i can think of that needs to get done before the move and to make it go smoothly:
1. Find out official start date
2. Find an apartment
3. Find out where the other apartment is located and what it includes. (what utilities, parking ((dear god i hope so)), how big, if pets are ok, etc)
4. Hang out with people that want to hang out
5. Pack. UGH
6. Get a copy of our lease
7. Find someone to sublease our apartment
8. Put the apartment up on craigslist
9. Buy a large carrier for the cats
10. Save as much money as possible
11. Find out more details about my job (hours, daily hours, etc)
12. Sell a bunch of my crap on craigslist
13. Change mailing address...once i find a place to live
14. See all yearly doctors before insurance runs out (Cardiologist, Eye, Dentist)
15. Bring all papers needed to get a new drivers liscense (proof of eye exam, etc)
16. Bring all papers needed for apartment rental (old landlord contacts, etc)
17. Tell my work that i am quitting. My last day will probably be the 30th.
18. Write a letter of res. for work
19. Find out a way to afford 3 months a (at least) of birth control
20. Cancel cable (yay no more charter! they have road runner in NY!)
21. Notify all credit cards/bank of address change
22. Find a new bank
23. Donate unwanted clothes
24. Eat all the food in the house
25. Kyle needs to sell his car
26. Find out what i am doing with my car
27. Get recordsfrom the Vet in madison for the cats
28. Find some sort of moving van or something.
29. Get some sort of binder to keep moving reciepts in-tax deductable!
30. Tell our apartment company we will be moving
These are in no order at all but its just so i can start to get organized. I can tell this will be very stressful haha.
I want to spend as much time with my parents as possible so this is the last weekend i think i will be staying in madison.
Someone throw me a party! i want to see everyone before i leave haha!
