So it's near midnight and my brother Jason and I are hanging out in the kitchen and he gets a text message from his roommate Don. His car is in the ditch infront of their house. This isn't the first time Don has done this and it most likely will not be the last. (Although, it had been raining really hard all day and the ditches were starting to slightly overflow onto the streets.) Since Jason and I borrowed our dad's truck he had to come along to make sure we didn't mess it up.
We all pull up to the house and see Don's car in the ditch and can't help but laugh. Don walks up to us and has this embarassed look on his face and we're all trying not to laugh infront of him. My dad had the idea of trying to pull the car forward, but since there really wasn't anything to hook the chain up we had to pull Don's car out backwards. My dad told Jason to move the truck from the driveway so we could hook everything up from the back. Jason gets the truck stuck in the ditch at the other driveway enterance. This does not sit well with our dad. After Jason failed to get the truck out of the ditch and my dad cursing like the former Marine he is I got fed up because the rain started to pick back up and the wind gusts got stronger. I ended up yelling out "God damnit I'm fucking wet and cold. Let me do this!" What took my brother six minutes to go from bad to worse I fixed in one or two. After driving around the block we got Don's car hooked up to the truck and pulled it right out of the ditch.
Now it's time to sleep for a few hours and wake up early to go to my anatomy and physiology lab. Today is going to be a very long day.
