I am getting to the point of zero tolerance for people who can't determine the difference between nudity and pornography, or sensuality and sexuality. Nudity is such a raw, beautiful, sacred thing. Thank you so much for your comments on my art and your perspective of an artist, you have no idea how much that means to me to hear someone say things like that. It means so much more than "you're a nice draw~er".
Well, I really don't like to be ignorant of other people's views... I just can't seem to grasp their state of mind. It's too...simplistic I think, for me. And its bothering me. Plus, people like that have a tendency to hinder me...so I want to understand their motivations. If a bible thumper comes into an exhibition and demands that my work be taken down because it shows buttocks or a breast, I'd like to understand....because, afterall art is a representation of ourselves, I'd really like to know why someone has such a problem with who I am and what I want to express. I suppose it obviously has little to do with me and moreso of their own morals, whatever, but I'll immediately and understandably take it personally. *shrug*
I suppose that's just what they're there for, as you said. It does keep things somewhat interesting...what's life without drama, I suppose?
