another journey in knitting

HAY SUP.

So I've been knitting a lot lately. Work is... not to my taste, as always. I've been put on a major project that I'm not exactly sure how to deal with. I'm looking for leadership and instruction, and trying to keep my head above the water. And as a way to unwind, I knit and watch TV. I find that knitting makes me feel less unproductive when I'm watching the loads of TV I do every day.

Which btw, I <3 No Reservations by Anthony Bourdain.... all that traveling and eating... I WANT HIS JOB *salivates*

Anyway, it's all

Here's that green scarf I did a while back. This is actually a stitch (Supple Rib Stitch) I screwed up, and I didn't know.

Well, it turned out fine anyway.

A cute lil' tippet. I screwed up the stitch (...I... seem to do this a lot). But whatever~ It's held together with a brooch I got on clearance for $2! :3 Unfortunately this lil' collar is extremely itchy. So I'll probably add a lining to make it more comfortable.

Watermelon Hat! I just used a simple regular beanie pattern, but alternated colors and added small 6/0 black beads for seeds (should've threaded more). I'll probably redo and make another one. I don't like how it turned out.

Foxglove Cowl/Hood! It's extremely cute as a hood! But wait...

IT DOUBLES AS A SKIRT TOO! :DDDD

Actually, this is an unintended method of wearing this, but it works, so MLEH. :3 I do need to add a ribbon in the back to cinch the waist, but I'm not complaining. I'm extremely happy how this turned out, and will be making more of the pattern, if-in-not the cowl/hood/skirt itself.

Hey Teach! Cardigan! 'cept lawl, I screwed up. I miscounted my gauge (again), and it came out too tight. I haven't blocked it yet (wetting it with a little water and stretching it out), so maybe that'll help it.

And with that, I also knitted the sleeves too tight, and in the end, I might just keep it as a vest-ish thing. I really don't want to be bothered about knitting new sleeves.

But you can tell by the strain on the buttons, I'm too wide for this cardigan! :T Maybe I'll give it to someone. I'm sick of looking at this one anyway.

Aaaaaand as a small treat, I present a masterpiece in still life:
