my mid-year resolutions

Jul 27, 2009 22:14

1) Stop being passive-aggressive, it wastes time and energy

2) Look on the bright side of things, or you'll just waste time focusing on the things that don't matter. Don't dwell on the negative unless it'll produce value-added results.

3) Have more confidence! You're responsible for your own actions. Act like you're taking charge of yourself. If you don't have that, who's going to respect you?

4) Nobody has the right to make you feel like shit (unless you're an irrational, amoral sack full of it)

5) Practice more guitar

6) Manage your time better, and get at least 8 hours of sleep a weeknight. Few things are more important than your health.

7) Commit to the assignment. Even if you hate it, focus until the very end. It shows in your work ethic-- if it's not worth your attention, it's not worth doing at all. Start strong, and drive it fucking home.

8) Do your best and learn.

oh yeah, and I guess

9) have fun

and

10) be happy

[edit: bonus 11) haul my ass online more...though I guess it's more of a 9b) than an 11)]
