all good things...

Everything is done. Track ended yesterday. We had our wrap up meeting and honored the seniors with friends coming up to share funny stories about them. Eulogies of sorts. I got up for the one senior thrower and told the story of how she almost killed me by releasing a hammer at my face. Even though its my last season with the track team, I'm not technically a senior graduating this spring so, my last year of track ended quite unspectacularly. I'm a bit dissapointed that I will miss all the fun hoopla next year.

Hand in hand with track ending was Rally awards tuesday night. This is when all the varsity sports teams get dressed up really nice and go downtown to a theater and the seniors are presented with a blanket and metal and the MVPs and best sports moment of the year are announced. I wore a dress and heels I got in England. Very unquie compared to the streamlined dressed most of the other girls were wearing. The only problem was my dress dipped rather low, and I had a dramatic tan line showing. The weird thing was, instead of getting complimented for my makeup (I love doing makeup) which is the usual, everyone loved my hair, which is most unusual. I flipped it into a twisty side ponytail thing and curled a couple of strands of hair - no big deal. but a couple of people told me that it looked professionally done o_O. My hair is normally a mess which I put very little effort into. After the awards about fifty track kids ened up at one of the thrower's house. I ended up hanging out with a bunch of my swimmer friends up stairs. I got buzzed and then sleepy so I walked some of the freshmen home. Overall, it was fun night and its always cool to see the people you see everyday in sports clothes all dressed up.

The shoulder is feeling a bit better, two more days of the trainers. But volleyball is out as I learned yesterday. Ugh I hate being injured.
