Oh on a silver spoon
Hello everyone. Summer is under way. Actually I realized today that it is very far under way...i dont like that. Anyways, Ive been at DASAC for the past week and a half. I love it. Je l'adore tres beaucoup! So right now I'm working on a series of hands for my focus project. It incorporates almost every medium imaginable, mainly photography, painting, and drawing, oh and i made a plaster cast of my hand, oh and a poem too....see it just goes on and on.
The best part of my summer so far or at least one of the best things is that my mom found her old manual/automatic camera and gave it to me. It's my new baby. I've been taking pictures like crazy so far, I just can't get enough! I really want to go shoot by the state hospital, but Vern, my counselor at camp, was saying his friends thought they were spending the night at the hospital and wound up sleeping in jail...so who knows.
For those of you who are not at DASAC, but have been before I have news for you. Brian's hat is still beautifully orange, he still wears those same grey pants everyday, only now he sings in Portuguese! woot. Noer is still gorgeous, Abbott as well, Colin is still amazingly and awesomely akward, CL's are now back to CIT's, uber block has been changed to x-block (whats with that?) and super hero tuesday has very unfortunately been changed to super pirate tuesday. However, it was fun wearing a duct tape pirate mustache today....
I feel like I got my hopes too high for this summer and I'm just realizing now how not-so-exciting it is. Everyone's away and I leave to be a nanny for two weeks right when everyone's coming home. DASAC ends the 22 and then I leave the next morning. I'm desperately hoping Lea and Chris will come home the 22, not the 23. I miss her, I'm trying to get used to this for next year, but it's scaring me that it's all moving so fast.

Come to DASAC festival (an awesome presentation of all our final work) Thursday, June 21 at 5:30 I believe at Deerfield Academy. There's food...that changes everything!
