(no subject)
Well, that's it for me for the year. Exams are done with.
I had my recital today, by far my most important exam. And I can tentatively say that I nailed it. However, now there's nothing more I can do to influence whether or not I get into performance specialisation. I've done everything I can, I performed heaps in concert class and vocal class, I shoved myself in everyone's faces consistently, I worked my butt off and did twice as much practice all year as is expected of singers, and I did a good recital that I was pleased with, not the absolute best I could do, but an accurate reflection of where I am generally as a performer at the moment. And now it's totally out of my hands! I can't stand the pressure!
Unfortunately I can't yet put into effect my holiday plan for sitting around wrapped up in a doona eating oreos and watching Dark Angel on DVD to admire Jensen Ackles - I promised quite a few of my friends that I'd come to their recitals, and I also have to learn some music for the crazy Renaissance Christmas pageant I'm performing in in a few weeks. No rest for the wicked.
Oh, back on the recital- Miriam recorded it for me, so when I manage to get it onto my computer and clean it up a bit, I'll put some of it up on myspace or something, and force everyone to listen to my singing when they go on my profile thing. Muahahahaha!
