It's past midnight and is now May 2. Today is the Federal election in Canada, so once I go to sleep and wake up, I'll have to travel down to the poll stations to make my choices.
Now I'm not the best at keeping up with politics. I'm not in the know when it comes to current affairs, except for the few things that manage to get through to me from other people's tumblr or journals. At most, what I've done is read each parties platform and listen to interviews of the candidates running in my electorate district. That said, my head is spinning while I try and make sense of it all. I read the opinion comments, but I find most of them to be absolutely useless. I probably should have looked up the debate, I imagine there was one, but a headache was already coming along. I had to call quits.
Well, today in Canada is going to be filled with news.
I've added a new podfic to be done on my
Podfic Status/Masterlist post. This is for
podfic_lover via
help_japan. I'm sorry
archaeologist_d, but this one might need to take precedence because charity wins out.
podfic_lover gave me two options of podfics to record, and I had chosen Take a Long Line by
derry6363 which is around 22,000 words and a crossover between Supernatural and Numb3rs. At the moment, I've copy and pasted the story to word, highlighted all the characters dialogue, and am right now going through the story on how to read it. This is a new podfic technique I'm implimenting. It'll take longer, but hopefully will be better. But I'm only on the first chapter and slowly making notes on each paragraph as a read through again.
As for Diplomatic Immunity, I have the last two chapters to record the narrations. After that, it's onto to character voices. If you weren't able to make sense of my
odd post from before, I basically stated that no one responded to my request for voice actors. Maybe I scared people away by labelling it voice acting, but let's not kid ourselves. Podfic is part of voice acting/voicework. I hope I can edit and record the character voices all at once. I'll probably have to record narration, though I hate doing that because you can tell when my voice suddenly changes. Something I realized, I seem to have two different narration voices. So that's something I need to watch out for, because I'm not keep track. I read one way, then I start changing the way a read the story further down the line.
