Wow. So my sister's a lesbian. That's a new development. I was surprised (not shocked, mind you). There wasn't any great 'coming out' on her part, she just made a comment about finding girls she would like to have dated over the years but never any guys.
I guess, intellectually, I knew that even if you found out someone was gay, it wouldn't change who they are. I'll admit that I felt vaguely startled to realize that I had just learned something huge about my best friend sister and still thought of her in exactly the same way.
It's about time someone in our family came out.
