Here are a couple of links to the posts that Keruptis made about RP Etiquette. A couple of these have been debated heavily in the last few days

With my previous views on using tells to pass IC information OOC... I think an auto-summons the second someone realizes that they're surrounded is so much steaming horse shit. I also think that not emoting something, be it "Bob gets a look of surprise on his face, as if he were hearing a noise that no one else can hear".. or "Bob frowns in concentration." is at best bad manners, and at worse, cowardly and aimed at escaping IC consequences for your IC actions.
Put quite simply, if you don't want people to try to kill you... don't piss them off. If you don't want to die, don't make people want you dead.
It seems quite simple, but apparently some of the Scions have some difficulty understanding logic that even my dog can grasp. "IF I don't shit on the carpet, mom doesn't try to chase me around the house with a carving knife". Okay, if a dog can get it... so can you.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Any action such as this, when we have made a truly herculean effort to arrange an RP encounter between us and them, will result in a truly hateful and snide letter to the RP community on Silver Hand.
I will then enlist all my exceedingly popular friends to answer to it, and will ruin their guild's rp permanently.
Know whose tail you plan to tweak before you pull it. Period. Do Not Mess With Me. You WiLL Not Win. :)
I have to add something. Craig says "Let it go honey!" but I can't!
We were just discussing it, and I said "Let's see. How fun would it be for the Order if I used my uber mental telepathy to say to Necator 'hey, sugar, why don't you take Silence.. and hey, bring Unos Tres Tres Septem, and bring Immortality too.. they look bored... and go to *insert Silithus Cave Area description*, and kill everything that moves.'?"
It would suck, wouldn't it, to have three super Nefarian farming guilds descend upon your entire guild and cut you down like twigs, giggle, toss out some leet speak, then poof. Now, by their estimation, I could legitimately do this.
Should I?
As what is, in my opinion, something of an RP elitist... I say no. It's not a kind thing to do, for one thing. But it's also cheating. I don't HAVE telepathy. Sure I have tells. They're fantastic for gossiping about Theris, cause omg. I'm gonna see what's under his dress someday, oh yeah. *cough* But I digress.
The fact that you CAN do something does not excuse DOING it. I CAN beat my dog. But it would hurt him, and it's cruel, and I love him. So I don't do it.
If I spend 16 RL hours coordinating an RP event, and a bunch of them summon out just because zomg, all my friends are 60s and they're all 20-40.. hey, we were going to be fair and emote fight, not just beat the snot out of you with our epics. But now you've pissed us off.
That's when things become really hateful.
Out of respect for others work and time spent coordinating.. I would accept that I might die.
If they're going to send assassins after us and not accept RP death for themselves, then I'm going to Neo my way out of everything they do to me. Turnabout is fair play... even though it won't be any fun, or at all realistic, for anyone involved.
I can be one big jerk, when I want to. Let's hope they don't need to find this out.

And -now- I'm done.
