Oh boy, I really do have a lot to catch up on. Today is already Thursday, and I'm actually talking about Monday because I haven't updated for about for days. In addition to that, I haven't been doing my devotions for the last four days either. Maybe that's why I end up falling into temptation so easily. Will definitely have to do my devotions tonight. Anyway, today's entry is going to be about the outing my brother and I took to Peninsular Plaza on Monday, to get my new guitar strings. My old guitar strings were already going to die, so I needed to get new ones. They were already rusted to a bronze colour, and though it was a nice colour, it did mean that my strings were dead. Moreover, I haven't been practising my guitar for a long time, and I might as well get started now since it's the holidays.
Peninsular Plaza really reminded me of the underground shopping mall in Jeju Island, South Korea. The lay-out was the same; clothes and clothing accessories, though since it wasn't Christmas any more there weren't any Christmas decorations. Sadly, we were not allowed to explore the shopping centre*he's purring on my lap as I speak and I am polishing him* He's 20lbs of mew and that's not fat...its pure muscle..with a full set of claws to go with it. since we were in a foreign country and our parents were paranoid about us getting lost, but since it was just me and my brother, we were perfectly fine here. In fact, my brother had been here more than once to get his guitar accessories, so he knew the place better than me. Yet, I was the one who saw the shop first.
Davis was very crowded, and for some reason, full of Church guitarists; we heard them playing "Amazing Grace" on the acoustic guitar. Moreover, the place was quite cramp as well, because it was a small shop (it was big a space, but there were too many things cluttered inside) though there was a warehouse which stored the bigger stuff. There were also some guitar brands that were quite famous as well as high end, like the Tekemine (I think it was endorsed by Chester Bennington from Linkin Park) acoustics. I even saw a jumbo, which I was quite tempted to buy after my Brad konks out (which I hope not). I bought my strings there.
After that, we went to eat. I was hoping for McDonalds (even though the food was only adequate) because I didn't know about the shops there, but surprisingly, the food center there was quite good. They even had beef rendang, something I hadn't had in a long time, and barley. Needless to say, we snapped it up, The only downside was that the only vegetables they had were bean sprouts, and normally, I couldn't stand bean sprouts. However, they tasted quite good, and I may just consider removing my ban on them.
All in all, a great day, and a great bonding time with my brother as well. One of these days, I really should get a digital camera so that I would be able to post pictures on this blog, so that people would at least know what I'm talking about.
