Haven't updated for a while, it seems like I haven't been doing much, but I've actually been really busy.

I'm really unwell at the moment, but this time I'm doing something about it and it seems we're working on a different diagnosis this time around. This habit of going mental every year or so could be bipolar disorder, so my medication has been completely changed. I'm waiting for cbt and I have a cpn coming to see me regularly now. I'm having a good couple of weeks at the moment, but Carl is coming out of work to care for me for a while as this fortnight has been a break in feeling suicidal. We're waiting on a decision for the disabled living allowance at the moment, but Carl is getting help as a carer already. A group called 'making space' is there for education, support, respite, advice. etc for carers of people with mental health problems.

I'm taking a year off uni, simply because I won't be able to go on placement in April. I have every intention of going back, but I may try to find a job and finish my degree through the OU (I have to have a job in the field to do my course through distance learning). At least I won't be so nervous when it comes to doing assessments, I've had a few done on myself this past couple of months! I was always so terrified about doing role plays in class, but now I am a service user it feels less threatening somehow. Now I'm having this good patch, I think this is good experience and I want to join the East Cheshire mental health forum. All well and good when I'm ok. Anyway, yes, I'm not seeing this as a huge failure at the moment, but give it time, heh heh.

Carl is tired, but looking forward to spending more time with Ethan and not worrying as much. Ethan's very good, running around, shouting and screeching. He's very verbal, it's getting easier now he can start to make his needs known. 'Tea' means a drink, he says no and means it now, stalking me and hanging on to my legs means 'pick me up now you ignorant cow'. Ohh, he's so sweet! My parents took me and Ethan to knowsley safari park recently, but he didn't seem too intersested. he liked the baboons jumping all over the car and the emus sticking thir faces in the window, but unless it was widly thrashing about for his entertainment, he wasn't bothered. He did like the goats though...I hate goats.
