Parents 40th Wedding Anniv.
So this past weekend my family went out to dinner for my parents 40th Wedding Anniv. I have to say that I feel extremely lucky. My parents seem as much in love as they did when we were kids if not more so.
We started up at their house with drinks. These days the only time my family all gets together seems to be holidays, weddings, funerals, nephews birthdays and the occasional trip to Chicago for some of my siblings. So it was really great to get everyone (well almost everyone) together for this special occasion. While we were having drinks my siblings and I gave Mom and Dad their gift. We had a watercolor painting done of the house. They are moving this summer so we wanted them ot have a remembrance of the house. They loved it.
We had dinner at Ambria in Lincoln Park. It was amazing. Great food and impeccable service. There were many toasts and my Dad even said a few words. All in all it was a wonderful evening.
