Just a summary of events.

The past 5 days, Chris and I were in Houston visiting his mom and dad.  Where to begin this entry.  Let's start with being there.  We left here Thrusday afternoon.  That evening we had a baseball game to go to, The Cardinals/Astros game.  The Astros won.  Now, if you know anything about me, you know I'm from Chicago.  Not only am I from Chicago, but I am from the North side of the city.  Naturally, like all smart individuals from Chicago, I am a Cubs fan.  The Cubs greatest rivals are The St. Louis Cardinals.  Needless to say, I don't like them.  I also hate the Astros.  So, really I didn't care who won the game.  Let's not dwell on silly things like baseball though.

We went to this AWESOME mexican place for dinner before the game.  Holy cow was it good!  It was by far my favorite meal of the trip.  We will definatly be going back there the next time we go to Houston.  Anyway, Friday we also had tickets to the game.  Cardinals won in case you were wondering.  La dee da.  Ok.  During the day though we went to NASA.  I liked it.  Chris and Jason (that's Chris's brother) were being brats about it, but me and Chris's mom liked it.  The last room we went into was cool though.  Everyone like that room.  Plus I got cool pictures to show my kids at school since we just did astronomy in class.

Alright, Saturday we did not have a game to to go.  Woo-hoo.  There was a game, but we just didn't have tickets.  The Cardinals won in extra innings, in case you were curious.  The morning was nice and leisurely.  We just sat around and played some cards.  Very realaxing.  We went to this seafood place for dinner that night.  It was alright, but I've had better.  That night though, Chris's parents took us to see the Lion King.  It was opening weekend for the play in Houston and I had never seen it before.  I liked it a lot.  But I think the singers in the version in Animal Kingdom are far superior to the people in the play.  But all in all I was very greatful to have seen it and enjoyed it emensly.

Sunday we had another game to go to at night and in the morning we lounged around again.  That was nice.  Then we went to see Pirates before the game.  I won't say anything about it until I know others have seen it.  Besides, most people won't want to hear what I have to say about it anyway.  Well, like I said, yet another game that night.  The Cards won again in a lot of extra innings.  But I'm sure you don't care.  I didn't.  Then, this morning we left.

I was very happy to go and meet Chris's dad.  We've been together "officially" a year now and I had yet to meet the guy.  I've talked to him on the phone plenty, but never met him.  What a bunch of characters that family is, but very nice.  I laughed a bunch, and that is always good for the soul.

And I think that is all for this entry.  I'll make others on my other topics to talk about.
