Chris's Birthday
Chris celebrated his birthday yesterday. And as the wonderful girlfriend I am, I took him out to dinner. Emerils Tchoup Chop at the Pacific Royal Hotel at Universal. It was actually pretty good. I would go back again. I was very tempted however, just to take him to the Brazillian Steak House again this year, because Ladies and Gentlemen, that is some good stuff! How can you not like a place that just keeps bringing you unbelievably wonderful pieces of meat until you say stop!? Brilliant.
But, back to dinner last night. "The fat man" as Chris likes to refer to him as, has a pretty nice dining establishment. But no doubt, the desert was the best. Who wouldn't like a bittersweet chocolate covered chocolate cake filled with essentially peanut butter fudge, topped with a banana's foster sauce, fresh made whipped cream and a freakin strawberry on top. I should have just ordered my appetizer and 2 of those and it would have been pretty much heaven!
Also, being the wonderful person I am, I got Chris a very nice present. A deep fryer. Who wouldn't want a deep fryer for their birthday?! I see a trend developing here though...One Christmas I got him a milk shake machine, last Christmas I got him a Turkey Fryer and now a deep fryer. At this rate we're going to have to remodel the back room as an additon to the kitchen.
All in all I think he had a good time last night. I was going to take him to the Rams/Bucs game but he told me he didn't want to go because the Rams suck. Alright, fine. I didn't really want to drive to Tampa anyway. Besides that Pirate ship is a bit too Disney like for my taste.
