A little bit crazy but heaps friendly

Recently, I woke up with three fingernails coated in black nail polish and two friends from high school on my floor. One of my first thoughts that morning was, "Now they understand John's."

The night started at a birthday dinner for Binny and Chinny. About thirty of us packed into a small Vietnamese restaurant, where we adhered strictly to the St. John's alcohol policy. Among other rules, the policy stipulates that if a coin is dropped into your glass you have to immediately skull the whole drink. Granted by the end of the night, we had rinsed a small fortune in change in our wine glasses, but the dinner was really more about laughing and playfully picking on the Americans than about getting tanked. We moved the party back to St. John's where people were hugging, cracking jokes, and (of course) playfully picking on the Americans. It was at this point that I was convinced that having three fingernails done would allow me to fit in better with the rockstar theme; after all, I already had a faux-hawk given to me.

Nothing really out of the ordinary happened at all- which is why it was fantastic to have two friends from P-town there to see what it's like to live here. It was truly a "full on" St. Johns night. The night was a little bit crazy, but it was also heaps friendly. If anything captures Johns, it's those two things.
