1. Are you proud of your role in the birth of the bootleg boom?

Yes but if only I had done as much DJing as I had done interviews for American press. It's for the best tho as I think back to the sort of thing I was doing then and wince a bit (as I will when I look back on now in five years probably!). It was 'too much too soon' in many respect tho - being invited to music conferences in other countries and not being able to go or just being too scared to go was rubbish. The best things were being involved (read 'muscling in on') in a blog that became a focal point for things in a very short space of time, getting namechecked on Radio 1 and XFM and eventually appearing on the latter and getting a mix I made played out - that might be the only time ever 'Euphoria (Nino's Dream)' got played on a mainstream radio station so good for that if nothing else. Meeting a lot of interesting new people was also great. But there were so many missed opportunities at the same time...

2. Whose CD sleeve would you most like to design?

If Rachel Stevens gets to do another album then her. Anyone like that really. It might not be very challenging tho (apart from the challenge of trying to help make a boring pop star LOOK interesting as well as sound interesting), and would probably revolve more around the photographer's ideas. But I wouldn't be too fussy here because further opportunities to do such a thing may not come easy yet when they do they pay quite nicely.

3. What is the worst design faux pas a client can make?

Not knowing what they want but knowing what they don't want perhaps, reasonable as it may seem to them. Having some idea of the designer's own processes really helps. And if they take forever to pay you that's always disappointing of course. I've not had any real nightmares in these respects though.

4. What is your happiest childhood memory?

Going on a day trip to London with my Mum one time maybe. It's hard to think of anything specific. Some seaside trips would also figure highly as I do love the beach (and trips/journeys in general, clearly) despite never dressing for it.

5. If you were a mythological creature, which would you like to be?

A griffin perhaps. None of this centaur rubbish.
