Hi guys! Unprotected posts are rare, I know!
So, apparently, since my thousands and thousands of dollars in hospital bills are just about paid off, I'm back laptop shopping. And my parents informed me this morning that they would help. (I think they finally feel a little guilty about spoiling my little brother even thought he's totall f*cked up this past year, and I've been working my ass off and all I ever get from them is pressure about what else I should be doing.)
I know my price range. I've been looking at Lenovos, because everyone sings their praises, but I really want 4Gigs of RAM, or as close to it as I can get, and I have let to see a Lenovo that can meet that. I'm looking at an Acer, though, that seems to be what I want. I'm wondering what the catch is.
How is Acer as a brand? Anyone have recommendations of their own? What about Dell? A lot of people I know are pushing me away from Dell and HP, but I know Brother loves his little Dell. My little brother's dell seems okay, but doesn't seem to run graphics as nicely as I would like. My budget is also considerably higher than his is. I've heard good things about Toshiba, and I've used a Toshiba laptop in the distant past and it seemed to do okay.
So far it's come down to a Toshiba Satellite and an Acer Aspire.
