So I haven't updated updated in a while.....

I lurk more than I post, I swear... let's see, where to start...

GF & I're still doing well :) 9 months and counting (love you!!!)
Hubby and I're fine (obviously, you'd've seen a post about omg we're splitting hahaha not like that would ever happen, we're far too awesome together), kids are fine-ish.
Son's 12, going into 7th grade next year, holy crap panic hahaha. Having some grade issues but then again he's my kid, and school bores the piss out of him.
Daughter's 10 (jesus wtf I'm too young to have a 10 yr old as my YOUNGEST) and going into 5th grade next year, honour roll student.
Animals are all fine, Tzeentch got his adrenal surgery (and the vet is uber awesome for letting us make payments since I was unemployed) and is doing great, gained weight, gained fur, he's starting to rival Lucifer for fat-assedness LOL

Scheduled the Saturn for an oil change/check the "Service Engine" light that came on (hey at 96k miles, it's overdue for something to go wrong LOL) that's Monday, will likely get a manicure @ the spa this weekend (the owner owes me one hahaha), my nails're a wreck after the painting etc. The RX8 is doing well as well, I uh "borrow the car whenever I can after hubby's home/on weekends, it's so much more fun than MY car to drive rofl. The Saturn's getting up there in age, so I'm thinking about trading her in, likely for a Prius (I wanted one BEFORE my gf got one, thanks, that just made me look closer as I drove it haha), I'd love to get myself an RX8, but let's be honest, we NEED a more family-type vehicle, and I don't want to take cross-country road trips in the RX8 tyvm LOL I'll just have to figure out what colour... I don't go for light coloured cars generally, but a blue car with whitewolf plates would be semi-silly... not that my dark green car's an improvement. After the car's situated, then I will work on getting the bike running again.

LOVING the new job, did I say loving? hell yeah! As my husband affectionately calls it, being a "Pack Mistress" is actually pretty awesome (when not nursing a burned foot from live wires that nobody knew were sticking out of the godsdamned wall @ the spa that melt part of your shoe lol). Here's money to play with animals (not just dogs, either, I DO have ferret knowledge LOL) and walk. Uhm.. ok... twist my arm, why don't you :) And the hours work perfectly w/ the kids schedules, etc so if anyone needs a dog-walker/pet sitter in NoVa, you know who to call ;) I giggle @ my doggy-doo bags, black w/ skulls/crossbones on them. Hey, who wants plain poo bags?

Speaking of walking, I'm only a few pounds from having lost 20 since mid-January, so that's a pretty big deal (for me at least lol), and the new job'll help a lot w/ that :) my reward for that was gonna be a manicure, but since I am getting one anyway... I'll think or something else :) maybe I'll go hit up the mall and buy a cute dress for a date night with my gf ;)

Yeah I get date nights now! since hubby's not working nights anymore (which is so beyond awesome btw, he's loving the new position, and I'm pleased because it's an outlet for his creativity), I can actually start to reclaim a social life (gasp! I know!!! Jaxx and date nights and karaoke here I come!). there's folks @ Mythic I've been wanting to hang out with & do karaoke for a while now, but couldn't because hubby was @ work at night. Also actually snuggling w/ my hubby at night is a nice change after what, 3 years of night shifts?

Uhm, what else... uh.... poopsticks... I can't really think of anything... OH yes I can :)

Got the hubby to agree to getting a storage unit (I have a friend who works for UHaul and I will SO be poking him for prices lol), so we're gonna clear out the excess boxes/furniture we inherited, and get this place looking good and less cluttered. Maybe finally get hardwood floors in, once there's less furniture (seriously, this place is too damned small for TWO houses worth of stuff in it LOL), and do some painting (yeah cause I didn't get enough of painting @ the spa, right?). Anywho, I'm looking forward to it. Because of my having been out of work for so long, it'll take us a bit to catch up, get back out of debt (I swear we were nearly out when I got laid off, ugh), and then start saving up for a house upgrade. In the meantime, we're gonna fix this place up little by little to make it more appealing when we DO go to sell. I figure my PT job @ the spa'll help pay for that, while the Pack Mistress-ing will cover the debt thing. Thank the gods we always lived w/in our means so we weren't totally screwed when I lost my job. Also we have no credit cards so we didn't have to worry about that accumulating while we couldn't pay it.

Some pics were taken @ the spa's ribbon cutting, unfortunately, I was not able to avoid ALL of them, so I'll see what they look like and *MAYBE* post one. You all know how I detest pics of myself... Gods know I don't need the 10 lbs the camera adds LOL!

OK I'm off to replace my Rice Cooker (which died and that's just heresy in a part Japanese family, ffs) and look for a new pair of shoes (I'll have to post the pic of my burnt one haha) at Target, wish me luck! The Global Foods place didn't have a small enough Rice Cooker for us LOL they were all BIG ones, and I'm sorry I do not like rice THAT much.

If you have a chance, check out Cooking With Dog (on YouTube), too, it's a Japanese cooking show, homestyle type foods (and they're done for 1 or 2 person servings, so adjust accordingly), stuff that hubby looks over and says "My mom made that". I've been experimenting w/ some of that stuff ;) This weekend'll just be Curried rice w/ beef though, we haven't had that in a while (but I needed the rice cooker!!) I made Kitsune Udon the other day which was rave reviews, save for hubby's dislike of aburage (deep fried tofu), so I'll make it with meat next time.

OK that's long enough, nobody can snipe at me for not updating!!!! :)
