its election day in ohio and im wearing a t-shirt outside

Nov 02, 2004 17:04

so...
started the day voting. after 10 hours of sleep.... for 2 nights in a row (wtf??). Im pretty sure i voted against the union county grain, but what can i say, i vote for myself and what i view as the best interests of my community/country. I don't expect anyone to agree with what i believe in, but i do wish for people to respect each other's opinions. what isn't right for others may not be right for you and vice versa. elections are for the better of ALL people, and i am happy to say i respect that, regardless of the outcome.

with that said..

today was a day spent entirely in the engineering computer lab, much as was yesterday. I've been in here since 9:00ish today, and it is now 5:00. soo.. long day in here. Working on homework problem sets, reports and more reports. Oh yeah, group projects can go to hell. I seem to have a group of six, where only 3 can contribute. oh well. f- them. I finished the report today, with the help of a fellow member, and that is all that matters. it ate into my time that i had for other stuff, but what can you do? I'm pretty confident on my reports that are due this week. I finished the one to turn in today, it was ok. I conferenced with my professor on my other report, and it is coming together nicely. I don't think i have ever worked so much on labs and homework as i have in the past 2 days. yesterday (between classes) i worked on stuff til 6:30ish.. i arrived at the university at 9am that day. thanks to accuradio 80s alternative station for helping me keep my sanity.

long weekends are great. i think kate and sarah summed them up the best (i however, had no drama). wonderful people, wonderful friends, and good football (my first game, might i add, after being at the university for 5 years now!!)

I really hope everyone voted today, as it is for the better of our future. I've got nothing.

the thermal diffusivity coefficient (alpha) of copper is 10.67*10^-5 m^2/s this allows you to graph the heat equation, which shows mathmatically how heat diffuses through a rod of a given length over a given time interval.<--- part of my day. hope this allows you to look at your day and decide, it really isn't all that bad. (but i wouldn't trade my days for anything!!!)
