While I was driving home from dinner tonight I saw the most beautiful, breathtaking rainbow I have ever seen, arching all the way across the sky, and I realized something:
God loves the gays.
I should clarify, what I mean to say is that either a) there is no god or b) god loves the gays.
As my boyfriend quickly pointed out, it wasn't god's decision to chose the rainbow as a symbol for the gay community. However, if, as most religions assert, god is omniscient and omnipotent, then it must be true that he both knows that the rainbow symbolizes gay pride and has the power to stop rainbows from happening.
And yet, there it was tonight in all its glory.
Which proves, of course, that if god really does exist, he's fighting the good fight.
It also proves that I am a genius and my fists are made of pure steel, baby.
