panadols + GE
something funny happened today while i was studying the paracetamol overdose.
i've been having gastroenteritis (like gastric flu) since friday. so i had diarrhoea and fever. anyway, at home, i only had panadol, which i used to take for the fever. then on saturday night, my dad bought charcoal pills for the 'food poisoning'. anyway, i've been taking over 10 panadols over the past 2 days. and it was only after i read the paracetamol notes again, did i realise WHY MY FEVER WASN'T GOING DOWN!
ok. anyway, it's cos activated carbon ( aka charcoal pills) is a treated for paracetamol poisoning. and should be taken at least 2 hours apart. if not the activated carbon AVIDLY BINDS to all the paracetamol.
