He Changed the World

Mar 24, 2008 09:28

He didn't find a cure,
He didn't win a Nobel,
He didn't lead a thousand men,
And yet he's changed the world.

He didn't invent the microchip,
He didn't win a Pulitzer,
He didn't head a Fortune 500,
And yet he's changed the world.

He sat next to you on a plane,
He met you on a bus,
He talked with you in a bookstore,
And he changed the world for one.

He listened to your stories,
He heard your inner pains,
He shared God's love willingly,
And he changed the world for one.

Wherever he went, wherever he was,
God's mission was his creed,
From day to day he served his Lord,
And he changed the world for one.

He raised me from birth until today,
He taught me to believe,
To know God's love is the one true way,
And he changed the world for me.

And one by one, many worlds he's changed,
Thousands now, each now changing others more,
He touched us each individually,
And yet he changed the world for us all.

My dad died today, he left this world for God's,
And yet he's still here, living on in all he's touched,
My children may not know him till they join him up above,
But they'll know the world he's changed.
