CHEWYSTORIES, the mainstay of this journal. Here I couple manips with ficlets to tell an ongoing
narrative. This has always set chewableprose apart as a place where you can find porn
accompanied by prose. The result being a more meaningful and believable slash fantasy, enjoy.
Ficlet | Captured and enslaved by Morgana, the surviving knights of Camelot scattered themselves among the other slaves, sentenced to manual labour in search of the treasure their captor so desired. However two of the knights, Sir Percival and Sir Gwaine, chose to band together and find solace in the company of each other. The comfort that they shared was a quiet one, looks of resolve throughout the labour that told each other not to give in to fatigue, for their lives were only as long as their bodies' usefulness. While weaker men fell and were killed when their bodies failed, by standing together they were twice as strong, even on occasion whispering encouragement when guards were not looking. Time was impossible to measure in their underground mine, night and day passed without notice. All they knew was their prison of torchlit dirt and stone, their night falling whenever the guards saw fit for them to rest. And these nights came fewer and further between as Morgana grew restless. When time for rest was upon them, Percival and Gwaine lay side-by-side away from the others. While labour made them hot and sweaty, the body soon cooled as they lay to rest and the guards' fires dimmed.
King Arthur saw his knights as his equals, he had often said they shared a bond that made them "more than brothers". Gwaine didn't understand this until his imprisonment with Percival. They were more than brothers, they were joined. So much so that as his body started to shiver from laying on the cold dirt floor, he found himself moving closer to Percival's sleeping form. Both naked from the waist up, Gwaine brought their bodies to touch, and found himself a bed of warmth, still firm and dirt covered, but also somehow tender. He didn't think of its implications, just saw it as a gesture of closeness and companionship. And when Percival stirred, instead of pushing Gwaine away, he maneuvered their bodies even closer so that Gwaine lay on top of him, interlocked so that their cheeks touched. And there, together as one, they rested.
