Don't Say Goodbye - Chapter 9 (End)
One month later.
Reporters from all around the city were sporting around the massive stage. Cameras were everywhere. People were chatting, boasting, and dancing, seemingly having a good time, except for one.
YooChun was standing in one corner, isolating himself from the growing number of news-persons. He twirled the champagne glass he was holding and watched the liquid whirled following directions. Occasionally, someone would nudge him or stop to gossip, but YooChun wasn't paying much attention and promptly excused himself to walk to another corner.
'Hero Eric' smiled as he noticed the reporter. The once comatose patient woke up just a week after JunSu left and though YooChun was too jaded to do the article - he didn't even bother if he wins or when Boa elected him to take the job JunSu had resigned from - he knew JunSu would love to write something as exclusive as that. He even credited JunSu, in hopeful to have that man to at least make an appearance to this gala.
Eric walked over to greet the young man who not only made him famous, but thanks to his top notch article, the nursery where he lived in had gathered more news than they bargained for. Public were able to relate to them and had even provide them with the necessities they need.
"You know I just want to thank you, son"
Surprised, YooChun asked. "For what?"
"The article means a lot to me" Eric said. "To all of us"
"Well, you have nothing to be thankful for, I should be thanking you" YooChun forced a smile.
"Are you all right, son?" Eric asked, with a hint of concern.
YooChun looked up. "Yeah, I'm fine"

HyoRi smiled brightly at her patient before closing the door behind her. "So, how was your trip?"
JunSu replied the smile and nodded. "Good. Helped a lot"
It did, for a while. Holidaying alone in Paris was not as good as he expected. But somewhere deep down, JunSu knew his therapist would have known without him telling.
"I'm glad to hear that" She said, gesturing him to sit on the couch. "I want to try hypnosis again, I think we got quite far in our last session"
"Okay"

"Thank you everybody for coming. Over the past year, we've had a few ups and downs. But we've had one reporter, who as always, gives us one hundred percent. His story for our anniversary edition captivated thousands of readers"
"Come on, cheer up. You'll get reporter of the year in a few minutes" ChangMin whispered, leaning closer to his devastated friend.
"It's not about that" YooChun replied as he turned to look at the empty seat beside him, the seat JunSu should be sitting.
"- and I am pleased to announce that Park YooChun is once again our reporter of the year"
Clapping surrounded the room. YooChun put his head up, smiling to the crowd, waving to his fellow supporters before ChangMin stood up to hug him. The latter noticed his friend was weeping and something tells him that it wasn't the trophy he just won.

HyoRi hovered over JunSu once again with his eyes closed. "Again, we are back at the park, you were on the plot of grass. Now what do you see?"
"I...I see a....video camera" JunSu muttered as he tried his best see harder. "I hear music"
"What kind of music?"
JunSu moved his head a little, trying to remember the tune and from the bits of it, he heard a melody that sounded so much like the song he loved. "It's my favourite song"
HyoRi nodded, scribbling something on her note. "Who is holding the video camera?"
JunSu screwed up his face, trying to remember the person but nothing came out. "I can't remember"
"Try to remember"
JunSu squeezed his eyes as he tried to rake his brain of any kind. He concentrated on the face that was holding the camera, soon the voice that complimented him of how beautiful his smile was, came in a flash. All the hidden memories of YooChun entered his mind and his eyes abruptly open, shocking HyoRi in the process.
"Oh my God!!!"

Two boys were sitting on the sofa, enjoying their banana split, flicking through the TV channels until they came to a stop at the CNN. The chubbier of the two recognized the man on the stage.
"What are you doing?" The taller one asked, frowning at his friend. "I thought you said you wanted to watch spongebob"
"Shut up" InHwan said, swatting the longer hand from reaching the remote.

"Wow....uh...this is a great achievement. And it's something I've always dreamed of. And it's all because of Eric"
The crowd started to clap again, this time louder and Eric stood up to deliver him a sly wink.
"You know....urm.....for may reporters, it is their dream to win awards like this. I know this...because it used to be mine"
YooChun looked at the trophy he was holding, it was shaped of a loving cup with a 'Reporter of The Year' clearly printed on it. It was meant to be for JunSu, not him! He wrote the article for JunSu. And the idea wasn't his to start with, it was JunSu's.
JunSu. The one person who showed him the meaning of empathy, the one who filled his life with wonderful colours, the one who made him feel like whole again. JunSu, the only one he will ever truly loved. It was JunSu all along.
"I used to care about superficial things like that, and then something happened to me. Something that made me grow as a human being in making me think it's alright to get hurt, because if you have a little faith, anything can happen - "
"What is he talking about?" Boa whispered to ChangMin.
"JunSu" ChangMin simple replied.
"What about JunSu?" Boa asked, rather confused with the answer.
YooChun looked at the confused crowd and his boss. A tear was already reaching his cheek. " - I would just like to say, I don't deserve this award. Thank you"
YooChun walked off the stage with his head down until he knocked onto someone. He bowed and apologised, heading towards the door, ignoring the 'oohs' and the 'ahhs' around him.
"Where are you going?"
YooChun stopped. He turned to look at the person who was standing just a few feet away.
And there stood JunSu, staring back at him. A bouquet of flower in hand as he slowly made his way over to YooChun. "I remember"
"Me too" YooChun said, wrapping his arms around JunSu. No way he was going to let him go. "Why didn't you tell me it was you?"
"I had a little accident, and it took me a while to get my memory back" JunSu said, eyes were flooding with more tears. "But, there's no way I'm ever going to forget you again"

"That's the cheesiest thing I've ever seen" InHwan said, making a face as he reached over to grab the remote. "Let's watch SpongeBob!"
"No!!! It's not finished" The other whined, grabbing the remote away.
"What is there to see, ChanHee?"
"He's so romantic" ChanHee said, not wanting to take his eyes off the TV.
"Ugh!" InHwan groaned, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes as ChanHee clapped along with the TV crowd when the couple shared a kiss.
