Wedding--First Thoughts

Nov 11, 2007 19:43

This is going to be a bit of an ADD post (Hey! Let's go ride bikes!) I'm going to type things as they come to mind.

Friday was a busy day. There were finishing touches to do on the outfits--mostly my own. I whipped up Matthew's (our sword bearer's) tabard in maybe 2 hours. I ended up staying up till about 1 or 2 sewing my buttons on. There are a couple of things I could touch up on them. I may or may not. No big deal either way right now.

Not really any less busy. I forgot to put in my pearl earring. It was awesome to see everyone (though finale was a mere two weeks ago). Though it had been a bit longer since we had seen Kate and Adam. Everyone in the wedding party was so helpful as were many people NOT in the wedding party! They were great! We were delighted as to how smoothly everything went! The ceremony itself. WOW there were a lot of people watching... hotel guests who weren't exactly invited to the wedding.... a bunch of people who were invited too. It was all good. there weren't many disturbances... save one *small* one. ;) lol

The reception seemed to be a hit as well. I thought that the food was excellent! I was surprised at how long my siblings stayed. It was quite a shindig!

I'm sure I'll probably add to this little by little as information comes back to mind.

The Honor guad was quite the surprise to Kim. It was very cool. I can't wait to see pictures of that. :D Kim got her first piece of Watson Memorabelia too... a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey with the number 1 on the back and "K. Watson" stitched across it. I've had that one under wraps since March. ;) We got many nice things for gifts. My cousin Kim did some artwork that we need to find a place for very soon. Holly made a lovely leather piece for us. Lady Em did some very nice small projects for us as well which we will be most proud to display when faire season rolls around again. :D

I want to look through the guestbook to see how many people we had and how many were garbed. :D

It rocked! That's the bottom line. Feel free to chime in if you were there.
