Update

So, it's been forever since I did a life update, so I figured I'd catch everyone up.

Health-wise, my weight remains unchanged over the past six months. While I would prefer to be losing weight, I console myself with the fact I haven't put on any weight either (a process I seem to find far to easy to accomplish). My cholesterol and blood pressure are very good according to my last physical, but my blood sugar and A1C are a little too high, so I've got to start keeping a better eye on what I shovel down the ol' gullet.

Relationship-wise, still not seeing anyone. It would help, of course, if I actually got out and met people, but why worry about the details, right? Christopher and Frank both remind me of this, for which I am secretly grateful, but gods forbid I actually let them know that I value their opinions. Their heads would swell beyond the telling.

Life-wise, as if people on Mars hadn't already heard with the amount of screaming I've been doing about it, I got published. My good friend votishal and I co-authored a series of articles in No Quarter magazine (put out by Privateer Press in Seattle). They'll be coming out in 2010 to 2011. You can pick up No Quarter (issue 28) at www.area42games.com (shameless plug) and we wrote the article titled "The Pendrake Encounters".

Job-wise, not sure if I've already mentioned this (I probably have), I have taken on new responsibilities at work as a technical writer for my company. I'm still doing some QA (quality assurance) work, but I'm devoting myself a lot more to updating our company's documentation as well writing up a whole new batch of things for our upcoming products. While I can't say that QA is my life's choice as far as a career path, it led me to doing technical writing, which, for as much work as it is, I love. While it isn't the Great American Novel (tm), it's writing and it is a real pleasure to finally be able to use those mental muscles again, even if it is discussing anti-passback functionality.

That's about it. I hope everyone is doing well.
