I’m probably going to be incredibly unpopular for saying this but I’m going to say it anyway.

When I first heard about Ianto’s death I was incredibly pissed off and angry. Even after watching the whole series (and in particular that heart breaking scene a thousand times) I am still pissed off and angry that they could kill off such a well loved

problem is is that RTD is an idiot. he clearly lost his mind...... in several interviews apparently he thought that fans would love this series and see a whole new torchwood or something or other... in what insane universe did he think that killing off Ianto and packing jack off to wherever, effectivly making it the Gwen Cooper show, would make the fans happy?? i mean really. could we be more unimpressed??

Ianto didnt need to go to confront the 456... it didnt need to be done. Jack is a big boy, could have done that on his own. Ianto could have been doing anything. he could have been sent to get Jack's family out. He could have done anything other than what he did. lets face it. if you can get the dude in the concrete block out of prison, you can get the lady and the kid.... yeesh...

as you can see im still very cross.... I love Ianto, and i agree, if they try and do a series 4 they are fucked cause no one is going to accept the Gwen Cooper show in favour of there being nothing else to watch.... this was always jack's show. and given that he has nothing to come back for, what with his lover and grandson being dead and his daughter being unable to hate his guts more if she tried, i cant see it being any good if i'm brutally honest. not unless there is someway of bringing back the most integral characters. which you can do... its sci-fi for gods sake. anything is possible. there is a list of people so far in doctor who and torchwood for whom death has not been the end... Rhys, Owen (albeit briefly), Gwen and Martha (when that little scanner/removal of harmful alien stuff do-dah was used in Reset on Martha and in Something Borrowed on Gwen, both times, hearts stopped, lack of breathing = dead, and yet they are both still blood there).... and come on, we've all seen the conspiracy theories that possibly the Master might come back... they've kind of got that set up if they ever feel like it. so yeah... he burned for christ's sake. If that can be done.... so long as they do it well, there are a million ways they can bring back Ianto...

there are a million ways i agree but are any of them good enough? That's the real question.

And yes RTD is an idiot. I just wish he would understand WHY - but i don't think he ever will.
