• I went to see Valentine's Day with friends today. The woman in front of us at the entrance was angrily arguing with the ticket taker. She apparently wanted to see the "Harry" movie but her ticket said something else. The ticket taker was politely explaining that there was no "Harry" movie and the woman was becoming more livid with each passing second. "Harry Jackson," she suddenly exclaimed loudly, "I want to see Harry Jackson." O_o When Deathly Hallows is released, she'll probably want to see the Percy movie-Percy Potter. :P
• Valentine's Day was cute. I enjoyed all the different stories, but it would have been nice to know more about characters I liked. The vignettes all combined to make an entertaining and satisfying film though.
• Valentine's Day trip to the spa was pretty amazing. I enjoyed my day of pampering, but the place was PACKED with people. With the three day weekend, Valentine's Day, and Chinese New Year, the resort was probably pushing maximum capacity. Valet parking was full, as were the parking garage and the lot by the entrance. We luckily arrived very early in the morning and scored a prime spot by the entrance. At least there were semi-private places to chat and relax within the spa area. I just love hot stone massages.
• Whee, I got a set of Jane Austen DVDs from pbs.org for Valentine's Day. PBS aired Emma in three parts. I missed the last part and I was happily surprised to receive an entire set of films. I watched the rest of Emma which was lovely and charming and I finished Persuasion earlier (loved it-so much repressed tension and angst), and I trying to decide which one to see next. It will probably be Sense and Sensibility or Pride and Prejudice.
