2010 Olympics: Opening
I got home about an hour ago after attending feather_quill's Olympics party. It was really great to get together with friends to watch the opening pomp and pageantry. The opening started off on a somber note in the wake of the tragic accident of the Georgian luger. I hope something can be done to add more protection to the barriers. The footage was absolutely horrific.
I'm looking forward to watching all of the figure skating events, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and speed skating.
We enjoyed the international cuisine that Ash served at the party: sushi, pho soup, pasta puttanesca, fajitas, roasted vegetables, with chocolate fondue for dessert.
