Whew! I really wasn't sure if I was going to be able to post a NaBloPoMo entry for today. I feel like I've been running around all day, but actually, I was sleeping.
The Thanksgiving feast is at my house this year and I have eleven people coming over for an early dinner. I picked up all the last minute items including the floral centerpiece, M&Ms for the
bottles, fruits, and the ham. *sigh* It was absolutely chaotic at the Honey Baked Ham store. It's a good thing my dad went with me to run errands. He circled the tiny parking lot while I lined up (in the rain!) just to enter the store. Luckily I reserved my ham earlier this month; I was able to get in faster and join a shorter line. I was there only 15 minutes. The person behind me was whining about how she didn't know you could make reservations and that the gas station attendant asked her to move her car. The station shares space with a small fast food chicken restaurant and Honey Baked Ham.
My parents were here to help me do the prep work for tomorrow's meal. I curled up on the couch around 5pm intending to rest for five minutes; the next thing I know, it's 7pm and all the work is done. O_O My mom felt bad for me since I had such a crazy week, so they didn't wake me up. I'm very thankful for that, but I feel guilty for not helping.
