And three more teeth gone

Sam's mouth has been busy this week!  He has lost 3 teeth in a 2 day span.

Tooth #3 (he lost the bottom two a while ago) came out from the upper middle left on Wednesday.  He was very happy and the tooth fairy came on time, delivering the precious dollar.

Then on Friday night, tooth #4 came out.  Not the upper center right, as I had expected (the damn thing was turned sideways and he still wouldn't let me pull it) but the lower second right one.  So the tooth fairy showed up again.

And finally, tooth #5 came out.  The one that turned sideways?  Yes, that one.  It came out overnight.  As I feared it would.  Luckily, he did not swallow it and we found it in his bed after a search of the resident stuffed toys.  It is now sitting in its container waiting the arrival of the tooth fairy.  She is getting quite the workout at our house this week.

Natalie, of course, is very jealous.  She insists that her teeth must be loose.  After obliging her, I detected a slight wobble in one of her teeth.  This has made her happy, even if it will be summer before it comes out.  And Virginia's lower left eye tooth is noticeably wobbly.  It may come out before the end of school.

And the best part?  Listening to Sam talk!  OMG, the cute little lisp!  I'm dying here!  I keep running that Chipmunks song in my head, "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth".  Hee hee hee!

On a non-tooth note, I am getting a new bed delivered today!  It has been 11-12 years since we last purchased a bed for us.  After much deliberation, I have settled on a Comfort Select brand iMattress (no, the name makes no sense to me either).  It has a cooling gel infused top and was nice and soft, like my back wants.  I have a year to return it if my back changes its mind.  And 2 year financing.  And a new pillow.  And new mattress allergen protectors for everyone in the house!  I really hate the noisy sack ones I have on the kids' beds.  They are hard to work with and have far too much fabric left when I am making the bed.  Plus, washing them sucks!  They float to the top of the washer and form bubbles.  The new ones are like fitted sheets and are easy to wash.

Oh, and since I am here, I will also talk about my dog, Sally, and cat, Droopy.  I had to take them into the vet this week.  It was time for their annual visits.  Plus, Sally had a strange growth between her first and second toes on her front right paw.  So, $1100 dollars later, the growth is gone, shots have been given, and teeth have been cleaned.  Droopy had periodontal disease but didn't have to lose any teeth.  He is 15 now so I want to make sure he can enjoy the years he has left.  Sally also had her teeth cleaned and is in fine shape.  Ok, she hats the cone on her head and walks around looking sad and pitiful with her wrapped paw in the air, but she is fine.  And it is a bit comical to watch her try to climb under the coffee table and go thud.  It was not so comical when she kept me awake the first night by prowling the house going "scrape scrape thud thud".  On Tuesday, the stitches come out so the cone may be able to leave sometime next week.

Now to get the kids ready for swimming lessons.  The last 4 sessions before summer start today.  Then they are off the hook until the fall.
