I confess that I am a procrastinator. I seem to get some bizarre thrill out of the panic of doing things at the last minute. So to give myself some kind of subconscious jollies, I didn't get ready for the semi-annual Twin's club garage sale until this week. The sale starts tomorrow. I started (for real) on Sunday. I am an idiot.
I have 274 items in the sale. That number is misleading. I have a lot of clothes (probably 200 of the items are clothing) and most of those hangers have more than 1 item on them, some have 3 or more items. In addition, I am getting rid of a bunch of shoes and other stuff that the kids have outgrown. I hope to make around $500 (more if I am lucky). It doesn't feel like nearly enough. I have been stooping over hangers and pinning items for the last 4 days. I have multiple holes in my fingers from the pins. I have been going to bed at midnight and getting up at 5:45 am for 3 or 4 days now. I am TIRED! My head hurts and my back is screaming at me.
But I am done. Everything is tagged and bagged. I will begin loading tomorrow and deliver the items to the Richardson Civic center Friday at 11:30 am. Then at 8 pm Friday night, I will spend money to get some "new" clothes for my kids and maybe some other stuff if something catches my eye. On Saturday I get to pick up left overs for myself and 3 others at 1 pm. Then I need to rush home to take the kids to a birthday party. Sunday will bring the last chance for Virginia to sell Girl Scout Cookies. She is already over 400 boxes because of the booth sale she did during Spring Break. The troop leader said she is really good at selling and people are drawn to her.
Then Chris comes home on Monday afternoon. He is home until April 7th. He goes back to L.A. to take an animation class to hopefully make him more desirable to employers. Send good vibes and prayers our way, please.
And now, I shall go to bed. A glass of wine has not made my head or back happier so I need sleep. Good night, everyone.
