Okay, you already know how much I love it, maybe even more than last year's instalment ;). Not just because it's you but because I really love plot driven stories - even if they give me the heebie-jeebies *g*.
I love that this is so... grisly and elegant at the same time. I think my favorite bits are Keltie re-enacting her murder because it's violent, but you write it very serenely - and of course the climax because CREEPY HAUNTED HOUSE and CHASED BY CREEPY PUPPETS and, and. I know you know exactly what scares me, hahaha.
I also really enjoy what you've done with all the characters - this is a very AU kind of AU *g*, but you still keep the people intact by making them creatures or giving them jobs/callings that really fit them, like Gabe. I also really loved Shane being a calming influence in Ryan's life <3. There was just enough cuddles to calm me down from all the scary stuff :D!
I also, I have to say this again, love that we're just getting another peek into this universe. There are obviously lots of stories that happened before this, and that will still happen. So, ahem, I'll just sit here and wait for prequels/sequels, cool?
