One Wish

Nick Stokes had never been more thankful to see his bed than he had this morning. And even better, because he'd gotten home earlier than his lab rat boyfriend, his townhouse was completely and utterly quiet.
Just the way he liked it when he'd had a rough night and all he wanted was his bed.
He made sure the door was shut, and that the blinds were closed. Finally, he slid into bed with a welcome sigh of relief.
"If you had one wish, what would it be?"
With a groan, Nick opened his eyes. His boyfriend was crouched down in front of him by the bedside, a serious expression on his face. "Greg, it's…" a glance at the clock told him he'd only been asleep for half an hour. "Fuck, Greg."
Greg rolled his eyes. "I know what time it is. My body's protesting my still being awake. But I had to know." He repeated his question. "If you had one wish, what would it be?"
Nick pulled his pillow up over his head. "Right now, I wish for sleep. And if you're going to insist on not allowing me that, I'm going to kick you out."
"Bah." He heard Greg straighten up and bare feet pad around to the other side of the bed. "You're boring, you know that?"
Nick, too exhausted to argue, growled a muffled warning.
"I know, I know." Nick felt the covers lift and felt his boyfriend slid under them, snuggling up behind him. The younger man kissed the side of Nick's neck - the only part of Nick's head not covered by the pillow - and sighed. "Night, Nicky."
Nick grunted in response, letting sleep claim him once more.
A few hours later, Greg was awoken by Nick whispering in his ear. "Normally, I just wish that I spend the rest of my life with you."
