Maybe not serious, but more focused. I have a lot of content and story ideas that are sloshing about in my head waiting to be shared. I have a tendency to over plan. I'm a bit OCD. So stuff sloshes about in an apparently liquid form ready to overflow or boil over.
My mission, should I choose to accept it, will be to solidify those ideas so they become light as feathers. More like little butterflies floating gently out of my head, ready for me to capture on the tips of my fingers. Then the tips of my fingers will make coherent sentences of all those thoughts as I type them out on my keyboard.
I think that is how I want it to go.
But my head is actually screaming, "We got a LOT of pictures!"
"We have to edit some of those pictures, maybe half! And resize, don't forget! Someone had too much coffee!"
I'm quite sure I have at least 10 pictures per sim. Some have more than 30 images so I could enjoy taking the photos with them doing different activities.
"Good idea! Better than having them line up against the wall for a mug shot!"
Maybe I should take a poll. Everyone stand up who wants to visit a web page full of mug shots. No one?! Really?!
"You must be joking! There isn't a person in their right mind that will take a boring poll about looking at some boring squares of color that lack imagination! That is a waste of time and not what the internet is for!"
"Are you crazy!"
Well, I did say that we are all mad here. I meant it. Me and all the little voices in my head. I like the little voices in my head. They tend to scream at me and berate me a lot, but at least they never leave me. They are my friends. Maybe you will like them too.
Were you hoping to get a sneak preview of what I will offer?
"We think sims are interesting! Why don't you post pictures of some sims instead of chattering on and on?!"
Well, alright. If you insist. Maybe someone will enjoy the sims pictures below.
I've created a bunch of custom townies. I'll post some of them first. But some you may have to wait to meet as the story unfolds. Some of them will be entered in the
24 Sim Challenge at ModtheSims so some of you might see them more than once. I'll also post my main sims of my custom Crescent Island subhood of Pleasantview. I don't know yet how many main families will live in Crescent Island. So far, I've only created one. I guess I will do what I usually do and wait to see how the story unfolds as I play. I try not to get too ahead of myself.
"You can't get ahead of yourself! You can't even find yourself!"
Yes. I know. But does the entire internet really need to know all my flaws so soon?
"We're all mad here! We're all mad here! We're all mad here!"
I think I may regret that phrase, no matter how fitting it is.
Left to Right: Gabby Boulder and Goldie Boulder. They are from the first batch of custom townies I created for Crescent Island
Here is a picture of Gabby Boulder playing catch. Ms. Serious ball player. What do you think would be a good caption for this image?
Here is an image of Goldie Boulder by herself. I can come up with a good story for this one, but it's more fun to see what interesting captions you might think of for this image. That way, you can't blame me if you are bored here. I'm giving you an opportunity to be less bored. Making quickie captions can be quite fun.
"Post another picture already! Do you think people have all the time in the world to wait for you?!"
Well, maybe people don't have a lot of time, but I think I got all yer internetz fun heeeere!
Sorry, I couldn't resist. I saw some cat macros the other day some kind of stuck in my head. Persistent little images that made me giggle more than the voices in my head. But don't tell the voices. They get jealous.
A picture of the very spontaneous Goldie Boulder. I mentioned her before my rambling.
And then I have the lovely Gaetanae Boulder and Gwenyth Boulder. I know. You can't really see Gwenyth's face. However, you have to admit the capture is funny. Admit it. Or provide a caption for all the internet to see in the comments.
You should probably know that I don't use any pose boxes for my pictures. Some day, I might try them out. I have downloaded some pose boxes. I just haven't yet exhausted all the stuff I catch the sims doing that I think are worth capturing.
It amazes me how often I see my sims with mean and grumpy faces. Sometimes, they can amuse themselves for hours if allowed to argue now and then with each other. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not they have grouchy personalities. Here is the grumpy face of Gaetana Boulder. You have a caption for this image? Share it. I love to laugh.
And the final image I will post today is of Gwenyth Boulder. So far she has been kind of quiet but there is still time for her to display something interesting about her personality.
That's all for now. I hope you had a good time. If you didn't. Don't complain, just move on to something you can enjoy. Life's too short to waste it on negative energy. Don't live it. Don't give it.
Here is a disclaimer I am sure you haven't seen before. These are my works. I don't claim any endorsement, approval or disapproval from EA or EA subsidiaries. These works are filled with fictional characters based on the ideas in my head and the ability to almost make the characters I imagined through The Sims 2 game. If any character resembles a living or dead homo sapien, it is purely coincidence.
Most of these characters would not be possible if not for the very talented people creating custom content that I am so happy to use in my game. This includes but is not limited to makeup, skintones, hair, clothing, objects and hacks.
I am really trying to organize all my stuff so I can point people to where they can find the items that appear in my images. At that time I will post links whenever possible. However, it is safe to assume that most of the content you see came from
Garden of Shadows or
ModtheSims. I am truly appreciative of all they give to the sims community and mean no disrespect by not yet mentioning the credits and acknowledgments deserved because I'm old and my brain is addled with voices. But soon I will have a bunch of links to make up for it.
