Happy New Year!
Holy Fuck, 2011, that sounds huge y'all.(I say y'all now, and darlin'....alot. I don't know how it happened as I usually only pull that shit out when I'm in Lowe's trying to get faster customer service but it wormed its way into my everyday vocabulary and seems to have gotten cozy there. etf.)
I feel like it went so fast...most of it for me spent stressed as hell and trapped in my job at the vet's that I now passionately hate. So excited for 2011 though! Dad stepped in to help me keep all my finances straight in my head and in paperwork, that took away a huge amount of the stress I was having. I'm also going to school for grooming which should get me out of my vet job and into something I can love! I'm nervous about not being any good...but I'm working hard and having fun. The people there are also alot more my speed with a more holistic approach to animal care...there are even a few other breeders who seems to really know their stuff so that is pretty kick ass.
Any resolutions for the new year? Some. I plan to continue working on eating more healthy and taking down my caffeine intake.(I'm pretty sure just about everyone is working on this one though...haha.) I am not quite where i want to be but the difference from where I started at the beginning of last year to now is huge! The big food change for 2011 though will be to only eat meats that are cruelty free, which will be a little hard I think as far as finding good options on where/how to purchase...but its something I really want to do. I'll never be a full vegetarian as I don't believe in it but the meat industry makes me really damn uncomfortable - so. Also by the end of 2010 I'd managed to switch all of my cosmetics(shower things etc.) to cruelty free options and I plan to keep it that way and try to let it slowly bleed into other parts of my life as well.
I want to exercise more!(Again, everyone.) For awhile there when it was warmer I was doing really well with long power walks around the neighborhood but now its cold and just the thought of spending that much time outside makes me want to curl up and die. The HOA I pay includes access to The Parkhouse here that has a 24hr gym...so I'm thinking I might try to track down someone around to tag along with me - I'll probably never do it on my own. When things get warmer I'll definitely go back to the power walking too.
Attempt to connect with more people/connect with people in general better. Oh gawd I suck at this one so bad. :/ I swear I really do try and in most cases I really want that connection with someone - but most people just make me so damn tired. I'll have a better schedule in 2011 as far as time goes and my finances as I mentioned are less stressful...so maybe I'll do better.
Best purchase of 2010? Fuck yeah!tile flooring.
Celeb Darling? I rediscovered my love for Pink...she is still mega gorgeous and pretty damn bad ass.
Karl Urban is one damn fine kiwi.(I still <3 you Lucy Lawless.)
I continue to adore Andrew-Lee Potts. I'm sorry but he is so damn adorable and his relationship with Hannah is just presh, I can barely contain myself.(::points to icon::)
Shows? Easy, BBC's modern take on Sherlock Holmes and Hawaii Five-O. I cannot pimp these shows enough. Sherlock is just all over brilliant...cast/plot everything is pretty damn fantastic. There are only 3 episodes to start, the first one was damn solid and lovely, the second was okay, and then the third was out of the water amazing. Also, Sherlock is played by someone actually named Benedict Cumberbatch(I shit you not) and Watson is played by Martin Freeman who you might remember as Arthur from HHGG. How perfect is this? A beautiful sampling in the form of a vid someone did below...a bit spoilerish but its just too fucking perfect.
As for Hawaii Five-O....well, the plot isn't very strong I"ll give it that, haha. But its a damn pretty sight to look at and the entire cast is all pretty awesome, what can I say, I'm a sucker for pretty, cop shows, and general fun tv times and this gives it to me all. Seriously, look at this official put together of clips the network did. Official.
::hands:: Omg y'all I'm so in love, they are so in love. And the team is awesome and all family and badassery and and and - ::flail:: Another huge button of mine that this show presses is my whole weakness for 'single kick-ass father with awesome daughter' button with amazing relationship and just....adorable. I had no chance.
So anyhow, that was pretty much the year...much as I can think just at the moment. Big hopes for 2011 and I hope you're all doing amazing! Hopefully this year will have more girl-love, also - I'll be breeding a litter from Dyna again so...things! Many things. :)
