4/20 Concert

Apr 20, 2005 23:25

Today dragged on so slowly. Every minute of class I thought I should just go home and go to sleep, I haven’t been getting much of that lately.
By the time work rolled around, I was seriously debating whether or not to go to the concert tonight. I didn’t really have $7, and prom is Saturday- I still need to pick up my dress, and buy my ticket. Surprisingly, work flew by.
Jennie let me borrow her hair straightener, so I used it while Jordan and Kira were coming to pick me up, Still debating. Realized I wouldn’t lose any money because of the time I just worked. Still debating. Prom is Saturday, and I decided that if it came down to it, a few fucking hours at a concert would be ten times more worth my money then a stupid dance I’ve been hoping would end soon.
The debate ended, and the three of us went to the show. Met some new people there, ran into some old… that’s how it always is.
The only band we were in there for the entire time was Rosefield Rivals. They were awesome, played their short set. After that we went outside for a bit, went back in and moshed, left skate west to take Kira home :( went back, listened to another band a bit (no moshing this time) and then spent the rest of the time outside.
And for once, I was proven wrong about the music aspect of concerts. I always thought the music really made the show amazing, but it really is just the people. I mean, sure, bands make it better. I love hearing some bands play, and that makes it so worth going. But when we’re sitting outside and talking, everything is so amazing. I love it.
This guy from one of the bands was trying to get people to sign up for his mailing list, so I decided to help. I got rejected, and one person I asked to sign it actually did. I only asked three people, but still. And one of them lives in his car, so maybe I shouldn’t count him because he doesn’t have a computer.
I don’t want to go to school tomorrow, but I can’t skip anymore :( Stupid Nazis. If you’re doing well in your classes, you shouldn’t have to go.
I was so tired at the beginning of the concert that I didn’t really talk much, then I got all hyper, and now I’m tired and boring again. Sorry this entry sucks so much. The next one will be better…

Bands that played:
Rosefield Rivals, Spoken, Last Tuesday, Kids in the Way, and Staple.
And yes, I did copy paste that. I'm tired.
