I’m should be pissed because my CD player is OFFICALY DEAD. Then again, I don’t give a fuck- another great concert buzz and everything else seems to mean so little.
The “concert” was actually a battle of the bands, but it was music all the same. There were 4 bands that played, more then I’d expected. There wasn’t as many people as I thought, but the music was amazing. There were 2 AMAZING bands, and it wasn’t hard voting. I won’t say what bands they are because who am I to criticize? I mean, I’ve “played” guitar for 2 years and I still SUCK. (One of the reasons I’m moving on to drums…) So, at least the bands were better then I could be.
The Rude, Dystrophy (I don’t know how to spell it…) The Albino Spiders and Rosefield Rivals played. I went for two bands, one of which I’d heard before, one of which I’d heard they really rocked. (gee, that’s hard to guess…)
Okay, me not ever hearing any of the bands but RR before, I can’t tell you the names of the songs. (SORRY!) Here’s what I can tell you tho:
The Rude played first.
Dystrophy played second.
The Albino Spiders played third with some songs about burning Des Moines and anti-suicide.
Rosefield Rivals played last. They prolly talked to the audience more then the other bands, but I’m not sure the other bands were from around here. I’m not sure the order of their set, but they played Never Push Rewind, a new song, Nostalgia, Scrawny Pale and Unaware, The Brotherhood, and Join The Nameless.
I’m prolly forgetting something- hell prolly forgetting a lot of things (damn that circle… and I don’t even smoke.)
And now the concert buzz has to last till Tuesday (George Lassos The Moon- this is getting way expensive, I need a job.) cuz I’m not going to Facecage (I haven’t even heard the band, and I’m not going to be a scene kid, that’s just wasting money- and there’s no buzz from that) That’s cool tho, gives me some time to get some sleep (been lacking that lately, and I can never sleep after concerts) But, yay, I met some really cool people, even ran into David. (Who never did kiss Bradford.)
Fuck, I need my CD player, I need my music. Screw it, I’ll play Brody I just won’t plug in the amp. (Two years of sucking, but I’d still NEVER sell him… I’d cry if anything happened to that guitar. I’d move out if I couldn’t keep it- actually, there’s a very interesting story about that- he’s the best $100 I’ve ever spent.)
I need music, but here I am typing. Damn this concert addiction.
